Yesterday, Julia and Michelle attended the statewide prison reentry meeting in Des Moines! Michelle led a discussion on how to start a transitional reentry house and they both attended great breakout sessions to learn from other reentry providers in the state. Thanks to Living Beyond the Bars for organizing and @kingdomlivingiowa for hosting in your space!

We had a excellent get-together at Game Night a few Thursdays back! Our social activities allow for our members to get out of their daily routine for some prosocial fun, while also showing them the empowering feeling that comes from community involvement. #reentry #reentrymatters #formerlyincarcerated #iowacity

A huge thank you to the North Liberty First: A United Methodist Community of Faith’s womens group for providing their helping hands and a delicious dinner at our Game Night last week! We are so thankful for groups in our community who share our passion, and continue to offer their support in various ways.

We are grateful for this great group of volunteers that run our 6 week ACT group. The group focuses on skill-building to cope with stressors, aid in emotional regulation, and building awareness to reach goals.
